MSM/DDA 2010-2011 Goals & Objectives

The MSM/DDA has approved their Goals and Objectives for July 1, 2010-June 30, 2011.  They are as follows:

Goal #1: Provide a clean environment downtown through physical, functional and visual enhancements.

               Objectives:
               Facade Grant Program
               Infrastructure Improvements
               Parking Lots
               Aesthetics
               Wayfinding Signage

Goal #2: Create an inviting physical and financial environment to retain and attract businesses.

Goal #3: Promote downtown information and amenities to residents, businesses, partnerships and the region.

               Objectives:
               Develop tourism materials
               Increase local communication
               Expand on Buy Local
               Support community events
               Develop promotional items

DDA By-Laws

The DDA By-Laws describe the basis of operations that the organization will follow.  Procedures and requirements that are set forth by the DDA Board are included.

DDA Tax Increment Financing Plan

Please click to download the 30-year plan developed by the Monroe Downtown Development Authority and approved by Monroe City Council.  This plan describes, among other things, the general projects that the DDA would like to accomplish and the ways in which they plan to fund those projects.
