Holiday Headliner Musical Auditions for Annual Tree-Lighting Celebrationposted August 25th, 2010The Main Street Monroe/DDA is looking for performers for the Annual Tree-Lighting Celebration on November 19, 2010. Auditions will be taking place on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 5:30pm at the former Masonic Temple Lodge (8 N. Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48162). Musicians, Singers, Bands and Theatrical Groups are welcome to audition. Detailed information and the application is available for download below. The annual permit can be used to park in most downtown public parking lots (some exclusions and not for on-street parking) and negates the need to feed meters or adhere to parking lot time limits. Rules, Regulations and Applications can be downloaded below and are also available at the City of Monroe Clerk's office at 120 E. First St. All applications must be turned in at the City of Monroe Clerk's office to receive a permit. Once completed and submitted, the Promotion Committee and MSM/DDA Board will review the request and determine funding. In order to be eligible for funding, the project must directly benefit the DDA district. If the project is funded, then a Event Grant Evaluation Form (available below) is required to be submitted within 60 days after the event concludes.
